A passenger plane was forced to make an emergency landing after hitting a flock of birds.
After taking off from John Glenn Airport in Columbus, Ohio, footage captured inside the compartment reveals flames emanating from the right engine.
During takeoff, the aircraft reportedly collided with a flock of geese, with at least one goose believed to have been dragged into the engine. There are loud sounds before a cabin crew member announces:
Okay, we have a minor problem.
“At that point, everyone panicked and began praying, and you know, people were holding hands and stuff,” Cassandra Sleeper said, as reported by British Metro.
A resident of Upper Arlington, who filmed the event from the ground, reported hearing “amazing, pulsating sounds” emanating from the craft.
