The best pie recipe that works for everyone is one that melts in your mouth. If you want something homemade that is quick and easy to make, choose this pie, which this time we prepared with potatoes. It is equally delicious with minced meat or potatoes. You can fill it according to your taste. Here’s what you need:
Ingredients required for the dough: 400 ml of water, 1 teaspoon of salt, 2 tablespoons of oil, and flour as needed For coating: 125 g of butter, 30 ml of oil For the filling: 500 g of potatoes, 1 onion, salt, dry vegetable seasoning, black pepper powder, and 2 tablespoons of oil
Procedure: Mix water, salt, and oil. Add flour little by little until you get a soft, compact dough. Cover and let it rest for 20 minutes. Cut the potatoes and onions into small cubes. Season, pour a little oil, and mix.
Divide the dough into two equal parts. Place a piece of dough on a floured surface, sprinkle with some more flour, and roll it out into a thin crust. Melt the butter and mix it with the oil. Coat the crust.
Fold lengthwise on one side, coat, and then coat on the other side. Then fold widthwise from one side to the other, and coat. You should get a square (let it rest while you work the second dough). Roll it out again and put it on a baking sheet.
Spread the filling, then with the second half of the dough, repeat the procedure as with the first and place it on top of the filling. Brush the pie with butter and oil, then cut it into triangles and brush again with the remaining topping.
Bake in a preheated oven at 250°C for 15 minutes, then reduce to 220°C and bake for another 15 minutes or until nicely browned. Watch the video presentation here.
